Love, In Life and Death by ~Boku-no-Hitodama:iconBoku-no-Hitodama:

One day, somewhere in the vastness of America, perhaps close to where you live, there was a young teenage boy fell madly in love with a girl, a girl he’s felt certain feelings for, but never like this, when he finally overcame his inner turmoil of whether she would possibly accept his caring, she accepted.

They were a perfect couple, many would look at their faces and simply smile, such young sweet love… one would say. After a certain time, the girl’s head shot up from her desk, she was sleeping, just a small nap in the afternoon, when her phone suddenly rang. She smiled as she looked at the caller ID, she tucked some strands of her long brown hair behind her ear and put the phone to her ear, a delicate smile spreading on her face. “Hello?”

“Hey, do you have a moment tonight?” the voice on the other line was warm, caring, she could taste his breath. She closed her eyes, visualizing his face as he called.

“I’m really sorry… I have to do my homework tonight, then I have to go to bed…” she looked at her large pile of accumulated homework that she swears she’s has since second grade. He sighed, feeling somewhat depressed she tried to make it up, “How about tomorrow? At the park, remember? That’s were you asked me out.”

“Yeah alright, that sounds good, I’ll see you then.” He made a kissing noise and hung up.

She smiled as she began to work again, wondering what tomorrow might bring her.

-

She sat on a bench and awaited her love, she wore a turtleneck shirt and hummed silently as she read a book.

The boy sat down next to her and smiled, “So, what’s up?

The girl sighed and put a bookmark in her place and faced him, his smile was contagious, she felt it on her face too, “Oh nothing much..” she shrugged for an added affect.

The boy nodded and frowned as he looked at his feet, “Yeah…me too…”

The girl frowned and scooted over closer to him, “So what’s so important that we have to meet in person? Is something the matter?”

The boy looked up at the autumn sky, “I’m flying to Wisconsin to see my aunt and uncle tomorrow… I won’t be back for three weeks.”

The girl tilted her head a bit, “Oh why so long?”

The boy sighed deeply, “My… my uncle has cancer… we want to be with him for his last moments…”

The girl felt the sadness in his voice, “That’s really sad…”

The boy nodded and began to take off his jacket, “It is… well I just wanted to tell you I love you, and I want you to take my jacket, so you don’t forget about me while I’m gone.”

The girl looked at his jacket and shook her head, “Are you sure?”

The boy smiled, “Very.”

She took the jacket and folded it, smiling at it, “Thanks… I love you.”

The boy nodded and helped her up, “I love you too, make sure you don’t do anything drastic while I’m gone alright? Don’t repeat the past.” When he pulled her up, her sleeve pulled and revealed thin scar across her wrists, a terrible addiction… caused by sorrow and depression… believing pain will make everything better.

The girl grimaced and concealed the scars, “I won’t.” she held up her pinky, and winked, “I promise.”

The boy took the pinky and smiled, “OK, good.”

The girl rubbed the back of her neck, “So… is that all?”

The boy nodded, “Yeah, so I guess I’ll talk to you later then.”

The girl smiled, “Alright bye.”

The boy looked at her face intently, then slowly, as though he didn’t really want to say it said, “Yeah, bye.”

They gave each other a hug, then a small kiss. Then they walked back home, both of their minds filled with a bit of remorse and in the boy’s mind, confusion and sadness. When he got back home, he lay on his bed, his arms crossed behind his head, staring at the ceiling. He finally slept and dreamt of his love and is what to do at his uncle’s. The following morning he and his family left for the airport, and then prepared to leave to Wisconsin.

The girl, bored in her living room was flipping the channels looking for the news so she could see the highlights of the local basketball game last night. Her eyes widened in horror as a large headline appeared in large yellow letters on the bottom of the screen, PLANE CRASH WEST OF WISCONSIN AIRPORT. The girl, with tears suddenly filling her eyes dashed upstairs, her mind was going fast forward, all she could think of his was her lover, she thought about never being able to see him again, never to be able to hold him, to never hear his voice again. She dashed into the bathroom, after some muffled shrieks there was only silence.

The next morning, to the horror of her mother, she was found in her bathtub, one arm hanging out, a pure red stain covering the side of the tub and the floor. The water was pink, tears were still in her eyes.

For many days there was no call from the girl’s boyfriend, but finally one day, the phone rang, the mother answered, feeling freadful, the voice on the other side was masculine, some what sad, yet happy by the sound of the voice, “Hi, is Nikki there?” The mother, no longer able to hold back her tears, began to sob as she retold the entire incident.

Later that night, in Wisconsin, as though he were in a dream, the boy, without a single scream, with no second thoughts, did the same as the girl.

Now, in eternal rest, one would believe that those two are now arm in arm in the next world, may nothing separate them.

When the families of the two finally came together, they found the boy’s jacket, in a desperate attempt to try to find out why this happened, they found a small note scrawled upon a small paper, the two families wept yet smiled as they read.

“I will love you, in life, in death, forever.”

This is not my original work... please don't judge me! This is actually a remake of Mikelu's great work, same title, poem section thank you. He's being absurd and won't put it on here, so I'm doing it! Tell me if you liked it, I'll relay directly to him.

This is a very good reproduction of my piece, I believe it is much better and you should recieve more credit than I for this piece. Great job, perfect expressionism.

You over praise me my good man. Your piece is the original, thus you deserve the most of the credit, one would call mine a simple fan reproduction, nothing more.

This one is *quite* interesting. It's very, very quiet and simple, but to anyone who's ever experienced even a hint of what's happening here, it is as deep and meaningful as any novel has ever been.

Human feelings are fun.

Well this isn't exactly my story... it's a remake of my friend Mikelu's story. He's known here as gameking1210, just to let you know. When I read his I thought it needs just a little something... so I made this. I'm not the biggest fan of angsty stuff, although my poetic works generally lean to that area!
